The Best RV Lakes near Bakersfield. At an elevation of only 300 feet, Buena Vista Lake offers an 86 acre lake, and a 998-acre lake nestled right next to each other. The small of the two is good for fishing, but the larger lake is awesome for boating, skiing, and wakeboarding. They offer 112 campground sites for up to 10 people at each site. They have no maximum length requirement on RV trailers as well. Near the campsites are restrooms and a general camp store.
